Important Information for New Homes

Starting December 1, 2024, all new Preparation Plans Agreements (PPA) signed with Endeavour Homes must comply with the updated Energy Efficiency Provisions. This change allows adequate time for pre-construction processes to align with the compliance date of May 1, 2025, when all building licence applications will need to meet these new standards.

Key Details for Future Homeowners

 

1. Build Under Current Standards
If you sign a PPA with Endeavour Homes before December 1, 2024, and your land titles no later than February 1, 2025, your build can proceed under the current National Construction Code (NCC) standards and existing energy efficiency requirements. This option provides a pathway for those who meet these timelines to continue with the known specifications.

2. For Land Titling After February 1, 2025
For builds where the land titles after February 1, 2025, compliance with the updated Energy Efficiency Provisions will be mandatory. We are currently finalizing details on the exact requirements and will keep you informed about any potential cost adjustments.

To help plan for these changes, we recommend including a Provisional Sum in your build budget. This amount serves as a financial cushion, ensuring you’re prepared for any adjustments needed for compliance. Any unused portion of this Provisional Sum will be credited back to you, so you only pay for what’s necessary.

2. We want to align the business name to our sister brand Endeavour Constructions as the business has been owned by the same family since our inception in 2004.
